Waitakere Home & Garden Show

Exciting New Show a Stunning Success!!

Well done West Auckland! Thousands of visitors came out and supported more than 200 exhibitors who brought together a huge variety of products and services to the Trusts Stadium Arena, Henderson.

This very first show for Waitakere City saw 12,400 adults enjoy free seminars, stunning art in the 'Trends' Sculptor of the Year Awards, a wide selection of plants, landscaping and garden related products in the Weekend Gardener Market area, the fine food zone, arts & craftssection, the eco innovations area and great competitions to win super prizes!

Show Highlights

* Trends Sculptor of the Year Awards - 23 stunning pieces of art were on display - Winner was Terry Haines, runner up was Tim Holman. Congratulations and thank you to all the entrants for submitting their work for public viewing.

* Weekend Gardener Market for all things garden related was a colourful and bustling area. Winner of the Best Presented Garden Stand was Pandora Bromeliads, runner up was Aqua-Envirions Construction - well done - great use of the space available.

* The lucky winner of a Home Ventilation System from HRV was Kristina Dayal of Avondale - congratulations, you'll love this addition to your home.

* The winner of a beautiful yet functional planter box from Edible Beds is Carol Voshaar of West Harbour - happy gardening!

* The very happy winner of the Super Planter vertical planter box was Rebecca Smith of Te Atatu North. Enjoy!
