2010 North Shore Home & Garden Show

12,300 eager visitors turned up at the North Shore Events Centre for an exciting show packed with highlights, competitions and exhibitors from all around the country. All of this contributed to a bustling and vibrant show experience for another year!

* The Weekend Gardener Landscape Design Awards - Awarded first place was first time entrant Colin Butcher of Premium Landscapes for his design - 'My Garden'. Second place was awarded to The Aesethic Landscape Company for 'Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Something Old, Something New, Some Gardens are just meant for you!' Lanzpec gained third place with an entertainment theme in the foyer making a beautiful entry to the show. Well done to all the entrants for the huge amount of time and effort that was put in.

* Resene & Classic Hits Decorator Challenge - creative talent was live on site and it attracted plenty of interest with show visitors and lots of support for the competitors. The winner of this entertaining competition was Catherine Liotapumania of Swanson - congratulations!

* The many Competitions to enter and win created lots of keen interest and thousands of entries were placed.
1. An HRV Home Ventilation System! - winner was David Foster of Northcote - a valuable addition for the home!
2. A Vertical Planter from Super Planters - winner of this clever idea is Graeme Coleman of Albany - happy planting!
3. One of 3 x $10,000 deposits from Palladium Homes - the results were so great that Palladium Homes awarded 5 prizes to these lucky people -Mellany Mann, Kerstin Gotz-Price, Mrs Simpson, Sheryl Walden & Pauline Bennett who will each receive a deposit on their new home!
4. A SolarElite hot water heating system from Nova Energy winner was Chris Lewis of Greenhithe, North Shore City - great timing for this addition to the home!
5. A stylish $1500 Splashback for your Kitchen from Decoglaze - the lucky winner was Kirsty Hobson of North Shore City
